I find an old photograph

Oh Autumn...

... how I have missed you. Cool nights, sunny days, sweatshirts and flannels, morning frost, full moon high and bright lighting the way on my nightly walk, crunchy footsteps on beautiful colors. I long to make a huge leaf pile, run, laugh, jump, & hide inside, making golden memories with someone I love.

Sitting by myself in a park on a beautiful day makes me feel very alone.

11.11.11

The number 11 has always meant something to me. I am just not sure why or what. Countless times I have looked at the clock or my phone, for no apparent reason, and see that it is 11:11. I ALWAYS make a wish. Cant hurt right? Now next week is 11.11.11 I have been doing a lot of reading about this day and see that is a supposed to be a day of awakening. Waking up what has been lost along the way, that something always simmering inside but hasn't reached the surface yet. Re-evaluating my life and becoming in tune with my soul. Finding and claiming new energy. I read that seeing a number over and over, mine (and millions of others) being the number 11... for some its 1234 or 333 etc... it is a higher power or as some believe Angels, using that same time to grab our attention.

I know many people who believe that 11 11 is connected with the spiritual world. Some say that the mere noticing of it connects us with the spirit world or brings us closer to our ultimate enlightenment. They believe that the more often you see it the more that is happening in a positive spiritual light.

Others think that 1111 is silly and just another number.

I say that anything that makes us take a second to even contemplate its meaning is worthwhile. Taking a step away from our busy and often hectic lives to ponder the meaning of 1 1 1 1 is almost as good for the person as taking a moment to pray or meditate. Maybe at that moment you are closer to God or Source or whatever it is that you relate to.

I believe that whatever you believe is what it is So if you believe this to be a spiritual movement then it is. If you believe it to be nothing then it is. I want to believe that there is change, positive change, happening all around us. In spite of some challenges we face we are also becoming more aware as a whole.

So if 1 1 1 1 means something to you then by all means allow it to! Embrace the strength or peace 11 11 brings into your heart and mind.

And now more than ever enjoy life, do good unto others and be the person with the traits and qualities you admire in others.

If you are afraid of change, afraid of letting go, afraid of the unknown, these are all forms of fear that will make you rigid in your posture towards life. Let it all go, and breathe.

If you are angry, bitter, filled with remorse, regret, feeling like a failure, then these feelings will also create an aspect of rigidity. Let it all go, and breathe.

If you are convinced that nothing is ever going to really change, your life sucks, the world is a mess, and it's always going to be this way - you have put yourself in a box with tight, rigid sides. Step out of the box, kick it away, and breathe.
