I am a field appraiser in my county. Each year we do what we call our 17% re-list. Every 6 years we have to see every house, farm and building in the county so the county is sectioned off by townships.We walk about 6-7 townships and 3 towns each summer. I get to see and find some really cool awesome places. Things you'd have no idea was out there. I found this place yesterday. No one was there except a young boy, maybe 13. He was the sweetest thing. I don't imagine they get much company there, much less a girl in a tank top and capri's LOL! He walked around with me as I checked all my measurements and took new pictures. Usually this annoys the crap out of me, but I didn't mind it one bit. I get the feeling that maybe he gets a lot of grief living there. Its not his fault. Not sure if I blame the parents any either. Evidently they care. There was an A/C running in a window of the house and there was a shower full of many different kinds of soaps and shampoos, and HE was clean.
I just live differently than they do. That's all it is really. He probably knows a whole world that I don't and may never. Anyhow, we walked and talked, I met his dog, a German Shepard named "Dude" he showed me all the kittens and the mules, showed me where the poison ivy was and how to look for the leaves and when I was finished, he even opened my car door for me. How many MEN do that?? yup. exactly! I wonder if he"ll ever give me a second thought. I know I'll always remember and think about that boy.
